Everest region trek
Everest Region Trekking is the most excellent way of discovering th
e beauty and the serenity of the Himalayas. Look at the pictures, they are worth a thousand words! The local people live in villages along the trek so you can stay in a lodge each night during your trekking vacation. Those who wish for a wilderness experience can also camp during trekking.
Many people who visit Nepal want to see Mount Everest at least once whilst they are here, the easy option is to take a one hour mountain flight from Kathmandu but we know at Nepalese Mountain Dreams and Journeys pvt. ltd. Is Might be your true way. Although we provide trekking expeditions throughout Nepal our home and where we grew up is the beautiful Everest Region. If you are planning a trek in this region you can be sure of the best quality trekking services available in Nepal with English speaking guides who have many years of experience trekking at high altitude. Sagarmatha National Park is situated 120km northeast of Kathmandu it covers a wide area of around 1150 sq km, UNESCO registered it as a World Heritage Site in 1979.The area is home to the most famous mountain people on this planet, the Sherpa’s. These hardy people have lived and worked in the region for over 500 years. Sherpa’s are Buddhists and very friendly and this is reflected by the many monasteries and Mani walls (walls made of prayer stones) along the way. The Everest Region is the second most popular region for trekking in Nepal after The Annapurna Region. It would probably be the most popular if the area was easier to get to as most people trekking take the forty minute flight into the mountain airstrip at Lukla. The region is full of truly rewarding fantastic panoramic views of the highest mountains on earth where some of the friendliest mountain people in the world live in harmony. You will have a chance to live and share in their culture for a while and get to understand them, Nepalese Mountain Dreams and Journeys pvt. ltd. are there to help you on the way.

Helambu is situated north of Kathmandu, the area is inhabited by Sherpa’s, however they differ in custom, language and dress from the Sherpa's of the Solu Khumbu. Many people combine the Langtang trek with the Helambu trek.
This particular trek itinerary commences at Sundarijal (1350m) in the Kathmandu Valley, around an hours drive from Kathmandu town. Helambu trekking offers a scenic loop through villages of varied ethnic groups and there are some great mountain views along the way.The trek takes you through a surprising amount of old growth forest where a lot of ancient rhododendron trees line the trail.

The Langtang Valley Trek 12 Days
- Trek up into the Langtang valley has to be one of the most rewarding of the short treks available anywhere in Nepal. The east west running valley is the site of some spectacular alpine scenery as well as being a great place to meet the distinctive people of the Tamang community. The valley itself is a rich alpine valley that forms part of the Central Nepal Himalaya, north of Kathmandu it was once one of Nepal’s Hidden Valleys.A journey up into the Langtang Valley to the high glaciers is very special indeed. The region has fewer tourists than either the Annapurna or Everest regions and offers a wilderness experience and an opportunity to experience the culture of the local Tamang people, the main ethnic group. The Tamang people follow a lot of Tibetan practices as only twenty miles separates them from Tibet border. There are some very interesting local settlements and a wide variety of wildlife and bird life along the way. Trekking into the high valley takes you almost to the base of The Nepal Himalaya giving you a “high mountain feel” without the trek being too hard. There is also an extensive glacier system in the valley's upper reaches to be explored

Ghorapni Poon Hill Trek 12 Days
The trek to Ghorepani - Poon Hill (Pun Hill) is the most popular short trek in Nepal and highly recommended, it can be completerd in as little as five days although many people take their time and extend the trek to take in other settlements on the way.The benefit of this particular trek is on leaving from Pokhara within an hour or twos drive you are trekking and getting some spectacular views of the mountains.Walking through charming villages, mainly inhabited by the Gurung & Magar ethnic groups. There are many dense and very colourful rhododendron forests in the spring. It is a good area for birds and deep sub-tropical valleys. If that were not enough, the magnificent Annapurnas and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) in particular, dominate the skyline.
A highlight of this trip is to climb up early in the morning from Ghorapani to Poon Hill for some fantastic views of both the Dhaulagiri range and the Annapurna range. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) Annapurna (8,091m) along with many other peaks at sunrise is an unforgetable experience.Because it is a popular trek, the facilities found on the trail are good with hot showers and great food.
